Keepsake was built by an Australian couple who were planning their wedding and had a simple idea: what if every photo taken by every guest could land in one place, automatically, without anyone having to chase anyone down?
That idea turned into a frustrating search. And that frustrating search turned into Keepsake.
Why we built it
We looked at everything that existed. And we were not impressed.
The reviews told the same story over and over - paywalls that appeared after photos had already been uploaded, double charges, customer service that disappeared, and photos that vanished when an app quietly left the app store. Some platforms felt like the photos were almost incidental to whatever data operation was actually running underneath.
We wanted something that respected our guests. Something that kept our memories safe without asking us to hand them over to a company we'd never heard of. Something our non-tech-savvy family members could actually use on the day without needing a tutorial.
That didn't exist. So we built it.
We shared early versions with everyone willing to try it - friends, family, anyone with an event coming up. People got it immediately. A few told us they wished they'd had Keepsake at their own wedding. We heard stories about photographers accidentally losing entire sets of ceremony photos, and couples who'd skipped a photographer entirely and desperately wanted somewhere to gather every shot their guests had taken.
We listened. We kept building.
Who we're for
The people who love Keepsake tend to have a few things in common. They care deeply about their event. We don't store your photos. They go directly to your own cloud storage (your Google Drive or your OneDrive) the moment they're uploaded. We never see them. When you stop using Keepsake, your memories don't go with us. And our facial recognition feature, which helps guests find every photo they're in without scrolling through hundreds of pictures, runs entirely on-device. Your face data never leaves your phone. Not to our servers. Not anywhere.
Ease of use that respects your guests.
Your guests don't need to download an app to join your gallery. Joining is as simple as scanning a QR code or clicking a link. We've seen guests in their seventies figure it out at the event without asking anyone for help. That matters to us.

The events that deserve great photos aren't only the big-budget ones. Keepsake is free to start, and when your guest list grows, our pricing is straightforward. No subscriptions, no surprise charges, no paywalls appearing after you've already started collecting photos. You pay based on the number of guests in your event and you can upgrade the event size any time before or during the event.

We're a small, independent, Australian-built product. We're not optimising for an exit or data acquisition. We're optimising for the moment, months from now, when you open that shared gallery and every single photo is still there.
